Zymar 0.3 Generic

A healthcare provider may prescribe Zymar® (gatifloxacin) to treat an eye condition known as conjunctivitis ("pink eye"). This product comes in the form of an eye drop and is normally used four to eight times a day, with the typical course of treatment lasting seven days.

The antibiotic works by interfering with two enzymes that bacteria need to multiply. Zymar comes in one form and strength: a 0.3% solution. No generic versions of the drug are available at this time.
