Restasis Eye Drops

Restasis® (cyclosporine ophthalmic emulsion) is available only by prescription and is used to treat chronic dry eyes caused by eye inflammation. It comes in the form of an eye drop and is used twice daily, with 12 hours between doses.

Restasis eye drops are not appropriate for everyone. You may not be able to use this medication safely if you have an eye infection or certain allergies, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Although most people tolerate these eye drops well, Restasis can cause side effects, such as eye itching, redness, and burning. If negative reactions do occur, they tend to be minor and easily treated.
