This procedure is performed on an outpatient basis, meaning that you go home the day of surgery. For your particular situation, you will be given specific instructions as to where and when to arrive at the laser suite, how to prepare for your surgery, and what to expect the day of and the days following your surgery.
You should not wear eye make-up on the day of the procedure. Also, do not wear any perfume or cologne the day of the procedure. You also need to remove your soft contact lenses at least 3 days prior to the procedure and hard contacts must be removed 3 weeks in advance. You may arrive at the laser suite in normal comfortable street clothes.
You will not be able to drive following this procedure, so be sure to arrange for someone to drive you home.
