What Is Ofloxacin Used For?

If you have a bacterial infection of the eye, your healthcare provider may recommend
 Ocuflox® (ofloxacin ophthalmic solution). What is this product used for, specifically? There are currently two approved uses for Ocuflox:
 
  • Treatment of conjunctivitis ("pink eye") -- common symptoms include redness in the affected eye(s) and eyelids that are crusted over in the morning
 
  • Treatment of corneal ulcers -- common symptoms include blurred vision and feeling like something is stuck in the eye.
