Eyes Home > Restesis

Were you looking for information about Restasis? Restesis is a common misspelling of Restasis.

A healthcare provider may prescribe Restasis® (cyclosporine ophthalmic emulsion) to treat chronic dry eyes. Specifically, this eye drop is used to decrease inflammation in the eyes, which can interfere with the eyes' ability to produce tears. Because it is not suitable for everyone, people should tell their healthcare provider about all medical conditions they have and all other medications they are taking before beginning treatment. Side effects may include eye redness, itching, and burning.

(For more information, click Restasis. This article offers an overview of the drug's effects, dosing guidelines, and general precautions. You can also click any of the links in the box to the right for specific information.)
