Eyes Home > Lotemax Drug Interactions

Lotemax® (loteprednol etabonate) is a prescription eye medication approved for treating eye inflammation. Because very little of the medication actually reaches the bloodstream (and therefore, the rest of the body), significant drug interactions with Lotemax are not expected to occur with normal use.

Lotemax is unlikely to affect other medications, and other medications are unlikely to affect Lotemax. However, it is probably a good idea to check with your healthcare provider before using any other eye medications along with Lotemax. Make sure to ask which eye medication to use first and how long to wait between drops.

It is possible that there are currently unknown drug interactions with Lotemax that may be discovered at a later date. Therefore, make sure to check with your healthcare provider about any possible interactions that may apply to your particular situation.
