Eyes Home > The Day of LASIK

On the day of LASIK eye surgery, you should make sure to eat or drink something prior to your surgery.

When you arrive at the laser suite, healthcare providers will greet you. After you check in, your doctor will be available to answer any last-minute questions that you may have. If you feel anxious or nervous prior to LASIK, as most patients do, you can request medication to help you relax and decrease your anxiety.

Your family or friends can stay with you until your procedure begins; sometimes, they are also allowed to watch the procedure.
