Eyes Home > Latanoprost Eye Drops

People with open angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension may be given a prescription for latanoprost ophthalmic solution (Xalatan®). These eye drops work by opening the channels that drain fluid from the eye. As a result, the medication can help prevent damage to the optic nerve caused by high eye pressure and the vision loss that accompanies such damage. This product is typically used once a day in the evening. You can store the eye drops in the refrigerator or at room temperature (up to six weeks).
