Eyes Home > Brinzolamide Drug Information

If you have certain eye problems that involve high eye pressure, Azopt® (brinzolamide) may help treat your symptoms. Available as a suspension (eye drops), brinzolamide works to treat conditions such as open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension by decreasing the amount of fluid produced by the eye.

In most cases, people tolerate this medication well. However, possible side effects can include blurred vision and an unusual taste. Reactions to this eye drop tend to be minor and are typically easy to treat.

It's important to review the safety information for brinzolamide with your healthcare provider before starting treatment. This drug may not be suitable for everyone, so make sure your healthcare provider is aware if you have any other medical conditions (such as liver or kidney disease) or if you are taking any other types of medicine.
