If you have a bacterial eye infection, your healthcare provider may prescribe Ciloxan. Specifically, this medication is used to treat conjunctivitis ("pink eye") and corneal ulcers. It works to treat these infections by interfering with bacteria's ability to multiply. Children as young as two years old can use Ciloxan ointment, and the liquid eye drop solution is approved for children as young as one year old.
