An overdose with this medication is not likely to be dangerous. However, as with any medication, it is important to seek medical attention if you may have used too much Bromday (see Bromday Overdose)
What Should I Do If I Forget a Dose of Bromday?
If you miss your normal Bromday dose, just use the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, however, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not use a double dose.
How Should This Medicine Be Stored?
Store Bromday at room temperature, in its original bottle, with the cap tightly closed. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children and pets.
Bromday comes in one strength and form: Bromday 0.09% ophthalmic solution. It is available in a 1.7-mL bottle.
Bromday contains the active ingredient bromfenac
. Other brand-name prescription eye drop medicines that contain bromfenac include Prolensa®
. Both of these medicines are also approved to treat swelling and pain from cataract surgery
Prolensa contains a lower strength of bromfenac (0.07% solution, compared with 0.09% solution found in Bromday). Like Bromday, it is used once a day.
Xibrom contains the same strength as Bromday -- 0.09% bromfenac solution. It is used twice a day. Xibrom is no longer available, as the manufacturer stopped making the medicine. However, the drug is available in generic form.
