Brimonidine should be stored between 59°F and 77°F, away from light and heat. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children.
 

Is There a Generic Brimonidine?

Original brimonidine (sold under the brand name Alphagan) and the higher strength (0.15%) of Alphagan P are both available in generic form (see Generic Alphagan and Generic Alphagan P).
 

Who Makes It?

Brand-name original brimonidine (sold under the brand name Alphagan) was made by Allergan, Inc., but it is no longer available (generic versions are still available). Brand-name Alphagan P is manufactured by Allergan, Inc. Generic versions of brimonidine are made by various manufacturers.
 

Available Strengths of Brimonidine

Brimonidine comes in the following strengths and forms:
 
  • Brimonidine tartrate 0.2% (in generic form only) -- available in 5, 10, and 15 mL bottles
  • Alphagan P 0.1% (brand-name form only) -- available in 5, 10, and 15 mL bottles
  • Brimonidine tartrate 0.15% -- available in 5, 10, and 15 mL bottles.
