Lotemax® (loteprednol etabonate) is a prescription medication used to treat certain eye conditions. Specifically, it is a type of steroid used to reduce various inflammatory eye conditions and to treat inflammation that may occur after eye surgery. Because it is not suitable for everyone, people should tell their healthcare provider about all medical conditions they have and all other medications they are taking before beginning treatment. Side effects may include blurred vision, burning, and dry eyes.
