Drug Interactions With Latanoprost

Other eye drops (including NSAID eye drops) and bimatoprost can potentially cause drug interactions with latanoprost. These products can make latanoprost less effective or may cause a precipitate to form. Since there may be unknown latanoprost drug interactions, you should tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are using before starting treatment.

Latanoprost ophthalmic solution (Xalatan®) can potentially interact with other eye drops. Some of these medicines that may lead to latanoprost drug interactions include:

The following sections explain in detail the potentially negative interactions that can occur when latanoprost is combined with any of the drugs listed above.
 
Bimatoprost (Lumigan)
Bimatoprost and latanoprost are very similar medications both used to treat high eye pressure and glaucoma. Interestingly, using them together can make them less effective and may actually increase eye pressure. These medications should not be used together.
 
NSAID Eye Drops
NSAID eye drops may make latanoprost less effective. Check with your healthcare provider before combining these medications.
