Ocuflox Antibiotic Information

Ocuflox® (ofloxacin ophthalmic solution) is a prescription eye drop used to treat the following bacterial eye infections:

  • Corneal ulcers
  • Conjunctivitis ("pink eye").
  •
Typically, these eye drops are used several times a day. The amount your healthcare provider prescribes will depend on the infection being treated, as well as the severity of your symptoms. You may start to feel better within a few days of starting treatment. However, it's important to finish your entire course in order to prevent antibiotic resistance or a return of your symptoms.

Although the antibiotic is generally well tolerated, it is not suitable for everyone. Before using Ocuflox, make sure your healthcare provider has up-to-date information on your medical history and a list of your current medicines. In particular, let your healthcare provider know if you have any allergies or are pregnant, thinking of becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding.
