Closed Caption - Cataract Surgery Risks -- Double Vision or Drooping Eyelid

Double vision may occur from damage to one of the eye muscles during the injection of numbing medicine. A drooping eyelid may be caused by the eyelid speculum or from an injection. Often times these are temporary problems that resolve on their own. If they do not resolve, then special glasses may be used or surgery can be performed to correct the problem.
