Bromday Ophthalmic Drops
A healthcare provider may prescribe Bromday® (bromfenac ophthalmic solution) to treat pain and inflammation that is caused by cataract surgery. Bromday comes as an ophthalmic solution (eye drop) that is applied once daily. These drops are usually started the day before the surgery, used the day of the surgery, and continued for 14 days after the surgery.
Most people tolerate the medicine well, but side effects can occur and include eye itching, burning, and redness.
These eye drops work by blocking a certain enzyme in the body that causes pain and swelling. Not everyone can use this product, so make sure your healthcare provider is aware of all other medical conditions you have and other medications you are using.
