Alphagan P 0.1% Solution

Available only by prescription, Alphagan® P (brimonidine tartrate) is used for treating certain eye conditions. Specifically, this medicine is approved for treating high eye pressure in people with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.

Alphagan P comes in two strengths -- Alphagan P 0.1% solution and Alphagan P 0.15% solution. Dosing information for this eye drop is the same for everyone -- one drop in the affected eye(s) three times daily.

Although most people do not have any problems with these eye drops, Alphagan P can cause side effects, such as eye redness, itching, and allergies. If negative reactions do occur, they tend to be mild and easily treated.
